Lead and learn this Spring at Forge
Most new members pursue leadership opportunities at Forge after their first course (or after graduating Launch). It's a great chance to give back and continue to learn and grow.

Leadership at Forge looks different than most places: all roles are a hybrid of leading and learning new skills.

Our Mission and Method
We teach the skills needed for today's fast-changing world. Over 1,000 students learn everything from user experience design to entrepreneurship to software development with us each year. We're building the skillsets and networks of our students so that they can make an impact wherever they go next.
Our secret sauce: student leaders, instructors,
and operators.
Some people think it's crazy that students teach our courses. We think it's the best way to learn. It's easier (and more fun!) to learn from someone who's like you, someone who's self-motivated to stay up-to-date on the latest tools and trends, and someone who knows the challenges you'll face because they've been there.

This "near-peer" model powers our courses, Launch, trips, and our leadership. Our leaders learn how to design, launch, and manage programs from peers, just as our students do when they learn data science or design.
This model is also what enables us to create professional, high-quality programs at a ridiculously low cost. This keeps our programs open and accessible to students from all backgrounds. We are hell-bent on helping all students who want to invest in their future with us. Whatever team you join, you will have a big hand in making that happen.

Together, we're building a community of kickass makers and creators who are prepared to solve the world's big problems. We'd love for you to join us.
Why you should join leadership
Everyday we work hard to make life of our clients better and happier
Personalized Mentorship
Your manager is there to help guide you through your role and provide the mentorship and feedback you need to grow personally and professionally. We also facilitate introductions to key alumni in our network for further mentorship (and career) opportunities.
Social Events
We love to hang out together. We get together for virtual game nights, team lunches, drinks, Bodo's on the Lawn, hikes, staff retreats, and more. Leadership also gets a free Forge t-shirt and priority consideration for Launch.
Job Flexibility
We offer many of the benefits of working for a fast-growing startup. Outside of team (or course) meeting times, your hours are flexible, and you don't have to come in to Forge for your work. If you get your job done, communicate regularly with your team, and work hard, we're happy.
Access to Alumni and exclusive career oppurutntities
As a member of the leadership team, whenever you need help with your job search, want an introduction to an awesome alumni, or have a question about how to handle an interview, our full-time team is here to help you!

Impact Program
Work on 3-week service projects for non-profits in data, UX, marketing, and design. Work on one or several, depending on your interest and availability. Learn more about our Impact program and past projects here.

If you want to help run a project, not just participate, you should apply for a Sprint Coordinator position.

Level up your skills in a new area. Course meeting times and registration will be announced in early January. If you want to sign up, there's nothing you need to do until then.
Check out our current course offerings.
